information about a workshop this
summer that pre-service, new or experienced math & science teachers will be interested
in. The <b>May 30th</b> deadline for registration is quickly approaching. </i><br>
<div class="gmail_quote"><br><b>Subject-specific technology training that is broken up into 1.5 and 3 day workshops will be held at Covenant Christian High School in Indianapolis from June 15-19. Facilitated by Teachers Teaching with Technology™ (T3™) instructors, the physics section workshop will focus on the integration of TI-Nspire technology for data collection and concept development in the physics classroom.<br>
</b><br>Participants will:<br>Become comfortable using the TI-Nspire CAS™ handheld and TI-Nspire CAS Teacher Edition Software™ with various Vernier probes.<br>Take away classroom-ready materials suitable for Physics.<br>Explore assessment opportunities provided by the new tools from Texas Instruments.<br>
Encourage the building of a community of like-minded educators.<br><br>The summer workshop will focus on
equipping teachers to effectively use technology in five specific
subjects: Alg 1, Alg 2, Geometry, Pre-Calc/Calc, and Physics. The algebra 1
class will be especially of interest to middle school teachers. The
Algebra 1 & Geometry sections focus on tough-to-teach and
tough-to-learn topics and use the technology as an exciting and
innovative tool to improve understanding. The Physics section will
emphasize data collection and the ease at which this can be done and
analyzed with the TI-Nspire CAS. <br>

Acceleration Coulomb’s Law<br>
Magnetism Electricity<br><br>During the 3-day course, participants will see how the technology can be used to explore: <br>Motion Light Temperature<br>Conservation of Energy Gravity Velocity<br>
